COLUMBIA RECORDS READIES RELEASE OF TRAIN'S ALIVE AT LAST

Multi-Platinum Grammy Award-Winning Rock Band's First-Ever LIVE CD Showcases Greatest Hits, Fans' Deep Catalog Favorites, & Two BONUS Tracks

Alive At Last In Stores Tuesday, November 2

Columbia Records is set to release Alive At Last, the first-ever live concert CD from the multi-platinum Grammy-winning rock band Train. Alive At Last is slated to hit stores on Tuesday, November 2.

Recorded in June 2004 over the course of a four-night run at the Work Play Theater in Birmingham, Alabama, Alive At Last captures the band at the peak of its powers delivering definitive performances of the group's biggest hits including "Meet Virginia," "Calling All Angels," and the Grammy-winning "Drops of Jupiter."

During the shows recorded for Alive At Last, Train reached deep into the band's catalog to breath new excitement into fan favorites like "Free," "She's On Fire," "All American Girl," and others while treating audiences to rare treats including the previously unreleased "Landmine" and a sly stunning cover of the Faces' signature party anthem, "Stay With Me."

As an added bonus, Alive At Last includes two newly-recorded studio tracks: the Adult Top 40 hit "Ordinary," one of the musical highlights from Spider-Man 2 - Music From and Inspired By, and the brand-new future Train classic, "New Sensation." Both songs were produced and recorded by Don Gilmore (Good Charlotte, Avril Lavigne, Lit, Linkin Park) at NRG Recording.

The San Francisco-based Train has earned a reputation as one of the hottest live bands in the country having performed hundreds of gigs since the release of the group's self-titled debut album in February 1998. Train performed live at the 2002 Grammy Awards ceremony and took home two awards--Best Rock Song and Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocalist(s)--for "Drops Of Jupiter," the title track from the group's multi-platinum second album. Driven in part by the band's breakthrough single, the Top Ten hit "Meet Virginia," the band's self-titled first album was certified platinum in March 2000. Train hit the platinum mark with it third consecutive album when My Private Nation--fueled, in part, by the #1 Adult Contemporary/Adult Top 40 hit "Calling All Angels"--was certified platinum by the RIAA on March 6, 2004.
