Train Wine Club
FEBRUARY 16, 2010, 2:27 pm
The Train Wine Club is an idea we've had for a while and it's finally coming to light. Jimmy has always been quite the wine connoisseur, and wants a place to chat and share some of his favorite wines with you, talk about the places he discovers them, hear about your favorites, and some of our other wine-related shenanigans too.
So if you already know your Cabs from Pinots, or just always wanted to learn, Train Wine Club is a great place for the seasoned vet or starter. And who knows, there could be some surprises in store ahead. Head over to TrainWineClub.com to check it out.

Re: Train Wine Club
First of all let me say that I love your music! My 5 year old asks if I can play Hey Soul Sister all of the time! My husband and I are huge wine fans and we love Cabs! Some favorites are Bogle, Liberty School, Honig, Sterling, and Chateau St. Michelle and many others! We love to try new wines so we love these suggestions!
Re: Train Wine Club
I am a rich, full-bodied red lady, preferring Petit Sirah, Malbec or Syrah. I love Canconnon Petit Sirah from Livermore Valley, California, Liberty School Syrah or my new favorite...Matt Black blend from South Africa. I want you to know, Jimmy, and guys, you are "breakfast in bed." Just returned from your best show yet in Norfolk, Va. We were very impressed with Butch Walker and his Black Widows. They complemented train well. Thanks to Pat for singing my favorite train song, When I Look to the Sky, for our troops. It was moving...from the heart and perhaps the highlight of the night. (Although my husband is still singing Ramblin On this morning.)
Please check out Virginia wines. My favorites include Veritas or Savoy Lee Cab Frank, Leo Grande's Barbera or Sangioveise and Pearmund's Petit Verdot. VA wines are outstanding with a unique, earthly flavor unlike that of the drier climate of Sonoma or Napa.
God bless train!

Re: Train Wine Club
Jimmy, I seem to recall a little wine tasting party we had that involved a wine nearly as old as us. Your Dad's 15 year old blackberry wine! That was good stuff. We should have shared it with him. Sorry Larry, hope you can forgive me in the near future. "(hope to remain anonymous)"

Re: Train Wine Club
The best wine I have ever had is Vynecrest. A small winery outside Reading, PA.
I would be happy to bring some with me when I come to your show March 18th....
Re: Train Wine Club
This sounds fun.....wine and Train! nice combo! I hope this means more of a wine selection at your shows. Just keep it cheap! lol

Re: Train Wine Club
Hey Jimmy,
Try Ravenswood Zinfindel (red) Sonoma. It's a great vino!
Keep up the good work. Saw Train a couple times up at the Pickle Barrel in Killington, VT a few years back, and knew you guys were going somewhere!
Thanks,
