Getting from the station to Great Yarmouth beach
Great Yarmouth beach is one of the top 5 Norfolk beaches you can reach by train. It's a 19-minute walk from the station to Great Yarmouth beach. Head out of the station and turn right onto Acle New Road. Keep walking down this road and onto Priory Plain, then take a left into St Nicholas Road. Keep walking until you see the beach ahead of you.
Visiting Great Yarmouth
Trains to Great Yarmouth arrive north of the town centre, about a mile away from the Golden Mile itself, as the seafront is known. It's a pleasant stroll to the front, stopping off at the stalls in the large Market Place, which is open six days a week, nipping into the Market Gates shopping centre and Victoria Arcade and browsing along Regent Road.
The Britannia Pier, home to one of the last end-of-the-pier theatres in England, is up this end of the beach, too.
