Getting from Weymouth train station to the beach
Once you arrive at Weymouth train station it's super easy and quick to reach the beach. Head out onto Queen Street, then turn left onto King Street. Just keep walking until you see the beach in front of you. It takes around 5 minutes to walk in total.
Visiting Weymouth
Some of the most dramatic events of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games were played out on the waters around Weymouth and Portland. The area hosted thousands of visitors over the course of the Games, and you can follow in the wake of GB gold-medallist Ben Ainslie at the area's many water sports centres.

In the warren of streets off the Esplanade, you'll find a host of shops, galleries and cafes - follow the streets south to reach the historic harbour, where some of the best pubs are located.
At the pier end of the Esplanade is the Pavilion, the town's main entertainment venue, and the hard-to-miss Jurassic Skyline, which takes visitors up 174ft and offers 360-degree views of the UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coast.
