Days 1 to 3 – London

Day 1

It’s easy to get to London from almost anywhere in the world, and the UK’s capital is the perfect spot from which to start your journey. If you like Asian food, dine in the historic Chinatown area – it’s filled with great restaurants for every budget!

Day 3

Adventurous souls will start their third-day kayaking on the River Thames, take a helicopter ride over the capital, or bungee jump in Greenwich. If you prefer your adventures to be more earthbound, take your family to the Science Museum, with its collection of over 300,000 fascinating items. Harry Potter fans will love the Warner Bros. Studio Tour, in Leavesden just outside of the British capital. After lunch, check out the swinging vibes of Carnaby Street. Here you’ll find great boutiques, dining, and theatres.

 

Days 4 to 6 – Paris

Day 4

Paris awaits next. Get from London to Paris by train in just 2h 16m! High-speed Eurostar trains leave regularly from London St Pancras station to Paris Gare du Nord station. Once you arrive, head straight to some world-class attractions. You can check out the Eiffel Tower, the Champs-Elysees, and the Arc de Triomphe in an afternoon. In the evening, culture vultures can take in a show at the famous Moulin Rouge, or a live jazz or theatre performance. For something different, head to the banks of the River Seine on a summer’s evening to watch the locals ballroom dancing.

Day 5

Active travellers will love starting the day with an alternative sightseeing tour of Paris by bicycle or Segway. Next, visit some of the city’s lesser-known museums. The National Museum of the Middle Ages is crammed full of artwork. Stop at the botanical garden on the way to the Gallery of Paleontology and Comparative Anatomy, a celebration of 19th-century science. In the afternoon, sip a glass of champagne on the banks of the Canal Saint-Martin.

Day 6

Start your final morning in Paris relaxing on a River Seine boat tour. In the afternoon, nature lovers will want to discover some of the city’s green spaces. Choose from the formal splendour of the Luxembourg Gardens, or the wild and spacious Buttes-Chaumont Park. Another alternative for the family is Disneyland, with rides and activities galore! Top off your last evening in Paris with a wine tasting tour or see the Louvre by night.

 

Days 7 to 10 – Amsterdam

Day 7

For the final part of your London-Paris-Amsterdam trip, take the train from Paris to Amsterdam. Trains depart from Paris Gare du Nord station and arrive in Amsterdam Centraal station in 3h 17m. Many of the city’s most famous attractions are easily accessible from the city centre. Visit Anne Frank’s house, see the Van Gogh Museum, and go on the Heineken Experience, all in an afternoon!

Day 8

If you love the fresh air, rent a bike on your second day and head for the Flower Strip, best seen in spring, or see Amsterdam by kayak. Adventurous children will love a trip to Amsterdamse Bos, with its green forest and opportunities to wander. Spend the afternoon on Amsterdam’s bohemian NDSM neighbourhood. Once a shipyard, this island is now the city’s hippest district! Romantics won’t want to miss dining by the sparkling canals. If you like a good party, head to some of Europe’s top clubs to dance the night away.

Day 9

After an exhilarating trip, you might want to spend your last day in Amsterdam chilling out in one of the city’s decadent spas or saunas. For souvenir shopping, head to the Jordaan district, with nine streets crammed with vintage shops and chic boutiques selling one-of-a-kind bargains and luxury brands. For lunch, head to the A’DAM tower for sweeping views of the city, it’s home to restaurants and cocktail bars. Spend a classy evening at the Concertgebouw with orchestral music. For a different vibe, visit De Wallen, better known as the legendary red-light district. It’s full of bars and clubs and has a lively atmosphere made famous worldwide.

Day 10

After your whistle-stop tour of these three magnificent cities, it’s time to say goodbye. Before you head off, stop in one of the city’s iconic coffee shops for a strong cuppa and a spot of people watching. Trains from Amsterdam Centraal to Schiphol Airport take around 15m, leaving regularly throughout the day.
